College coaches in the NFL: Good, bad and works in progress

College record: 179-96-1, 2 national championships; NFL record: 40-56 -- Unlike Jimmy Johnson, Erickson couldn't take his University of Miami success and make it work in the NFL. After stops at Idaho and Washington State, Erickson won two national championships at Miami. He then jumped back and forth between the NFL and college, coaching the Seattle Seahawks, then the Oregon State Beavers, then the San Francisco 49ers before a quick return to Idaho and a final stop at Arizona State.
