PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Aaron Moore led Portland State with 21 points and seven rebounds in a 98-65 victory over NAIA Evergreen State yesterday. Portland State (5-4) used a 21-3 run in the second half to put the game comfortably out of reach at 87-56 with 3:43 to play. The victory ends Portland State's three-game losing streak and allows the Vikings to take a winning record into Big Sky conference play.

HONOLULU (AP) — Roberto Nelson scored eight of his 17 points in the final minute to help Oregon State beat George Mason 58-54 in yesterday's consolation round game of the Diamond Head Classic. Devon Collier added 15 points for Oregon State (7-3). Collier's layup with 1:56 left gave Oregon State a 50-49 lead.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State quarterback Joe Southwick says his suspension from the Hawaii Bowl is unwarranted. Southwick spoke to KTVB-TV Sunday, two days after he was sent home by interim head coach Bob Gregory soon after the team arrived in Hawaii. Southwick and backup quarterback Nick Patti were suspended for violating team rules. Patti was reinstated, but team officials declined to provide further comment.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) —Consider a bit of the Seahawks (12-3) invincibility at home diminished after Arizona became the unlikely candidate to snap Seattle's 14-game home win streak. Arizona's 17-10 victory on Sunday pushed Seattle's attempt to win the NFC West and wrap up home-field advantage in the conference to the final week of the regular season.
