SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle Mariners outfielder Michael Saunders could rejoin the team on Monday following a rehab stint with the team's Triple-A affiliate.
Saunders sprained his right shoulder on April 11 and was placed on the 15-day disabled list. He was hurt in the first inning against Houston when he slammed into the right-field wall catching leadoff hitter Jose Altuve's fly ball.
Saunders said he was initially concerned he may have broken his collarbone, but was relieved the injury was just a sprain.
Saunders played in the field for Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.
