Grant Goodeve has been the host of Northwest Backroads since the show premiered in April 1998. Northwest Backroads is the regions most popular travel program that explores fascinating and hard-to-reach places in the Northwest.
Grant moved to the Northwest in 1989 with his wife Debbie, and three children Katie, Emily and Mac. He is best known for playing the role of David, the oldest son, on "Eight is Enough" for five seasons.
Grant also appeared for two seasons in the recurring role of Rick Pedersen, the ill-fated bush pilot in "Northern Exposure." The show was filmed here in the Northwest.
His work also includes numerous episodic television appearances, the role of Woody on the daytime soap opera "One Life to Live," as well as roles in several made-for-television movies and feature films.
Grant currently hosts "If Walls Could Talk" on Home and Garden Television, along with a series of historical home specials titled, "Homes of our Heritage" for HGTV.
Grant enjoys spending time with his family, tennis, snow skiing, reading, and basking in the beauty of the Northwest.
