EVERETT, Wash. – A struggling mother of two lost an envelope filled with cash - her entire paycheck. But just as she was about to give up, something amazing happened.

We caught up with home care nurse Kristie Parliman at work.

"I work on average 96 hours a week," she said.

Kristie has no other choice, her husband was recently laid off and they have two kids to feed. The first place she goes after getting paid each month, is the grocery store.

"I'm always really trying to get our menus straight for the month I have about $100 to spend there," she said.

But Kristie says a few weeks ago after grabbing groceries and checking out she realized her envelope filled with $900 was gone. It was an entire month's pay.

"I was hysterical that day I was so hysterical I was literally down to pennies," she said.

Kristie had almost given up, she dialed Albertson's one last time but didn't expect good news.

"I was almost sarcastic when I called because who would have thought, then the lady came back on the phone and said someone actually did!" she said.

A regular customer found the envelope near the front door and we found that Good Samaritan at Albertson's.

"I was just happy that we could find the right person," said Virgina Kent.

Kent says it wasn't like she didn't need the money, she just knew whoever lost it probably needed it more.

"If I lost money I would want it to be returned to me," she said.

Kristie says she's humbled and grateful to Kent for turning the money in.

"I would love to repay her in some way!" she said.

She may have a hard time getting Kent to accept. Kent says she was once a nurse too, raising three kids of her own and this was just the right thing to do.

"I don't want anything back I just want her to have the money she's got children she needs it," said Kent.
