TOLEDO, Wash. - Nine people were arrested Saturday night after attending a party advertised on Facebook.

Lewis county authorities took eight party goers between the ages of 17 and 20 into custody and charged them with being in possession of alcohol. A ninth minor was arrested on a driving under the influence charge.

Acting on a tip, detectives learned of the party on Fluckiger Road through postings on Facebook.

According to a Sheriff's office spokesperson, the party was advertised as having two kegs of beer, vodka-jello shots and a "Sexy Costume Contest."

Officers estimated more than 300 people were drinking at the rural property Saturday night.

"We had people pulling into our driveway, getting out of their vehicles and relieving themselves," said Brenda Cyrus, who lives down the street from the scene of the party.

Cyrus hopes the hosts learned a lesson.

"If you want to have a secret party and you don't want the police to know," said Cyrus, "Don't put it on the Internet."

The owners of the property may be charged with providing alcohol for minors.
