Brief Description of Duties
Responsible for anchoring daily newscasts, breaking news, event coverage and occasionally performing as a moderator for special programs.Must be able to write news copy and stories both for television and the network's web site. Must possess mentoring skills to work with developing staff members. Position may include occasional anchor shifts at KING TV. Will participate in community functions for the benefit of the network.
Qualifications
BA degree with minimum three years' anchoring experience preferred, excellent on-camera, writing, verbal, copy editing, computer publishing and story producing skills. Must demonstrate solid news judgment, leadership and mentoring abilities. Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver scripts in a calm, compelling manner with strong ad-libbing talent during breaking news coverage.
