Live Truck Operator / Photographer

Brief Description of Duties

Shoot Beta format videotape for sports, news, and feature stories. Edit on laptop, tape to tape, and non-linear editing system. Provide editorial input for daily newscast. Operate microwave equipment on news van. Coordinate live events, which may require some field production work.

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent experience preferred. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in television news photography and live truck operations. Must be able to master editing on Sony NewsBase non-linear editing system. Complete news gathering skills required. Must be able to tell the visual news story creatively. Valid Washington State Drivers License (CDL a plus). Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under time pressure deadlines, ability to lift up to 50lbs. and work on ladders/lifts with or without an accommodation, ability to prioritize multiple projects and have a flexible work schedule. Must be willing to work overtime.
