Rob Piercy joined the NWCN anchor team in 2009. Prior, Rob joined the KING 5 team in 2006. Before arriving in Seattle, Rob worked as a weekend anchor in Phoenix, Arizona. After three years in the desert, he decided it was time to return home.

Rob is a Skagit Valley native and a graduate of Sedro-Woolley High School. He stayed in Western Washington for college, earning his journalism degree from the University of Washington.

Rob began his career in Yakima, working as a one man band reporter, photographer and editor. From there Rob moved to Boise, Idaho, where he worked as an anchor/reporter and traveled to China reporting on the country's orphan crisis. His next stop was Las Vegas, Nevada, where he anchored a two hour morning show, "Good Morning Las Vegas."

During his career, Rob's work has been honored with multiple Emmy Awards for his reporting and a prestigious National Edward R. Murrow award for his writing.

When he's not working, Rob spends time in the gym, recording music in his home studio, and remodeling his historic home. He is married to Evening Magazine reporter Kim Holcomb.
