SPOKANE, Wash. -- The juvenile who is suspected of stabbing a man at the House of Charity in Downtown Spokane will be tried as an adult according to authorities.

Officials said David Vincent, 17, will face charges of Attempted First Degree Murder. We are using his name because the courts are trying him as an adult.

The alleged attack happened on Thursday morning at 6:30 according to investigators. Witnesses said that the suspect was yelling that he was going to kill the victim. Officials said that they found the victim stabbed with a butcher knife in the back of his head when they arrived to the scene.

Officials are still investigating. The victim was expected to survive his injuries.
