PORTLAND – A bold robber held up three downtown businesses and now police are hoping the public can help catch him.

Surveillance video shows the robber inside the Benessere Olive Oil Shop, at 907 Southwest 9th Avenue, on July 1st. He told the clerk he was armed, but never showed a weapon.

A man matching the same description also hit a Subway sandwich shop at 619 Southwest Park Avenue and the CostLo Market at 631 Southwest Alder Street. Then, two weeks later, he robbed the olive oil store a second time.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 40s with light brown or blonde hair, balding, 5-foot-8-inches tall, with a medium build. Witnesses said he was wearing a dark-colored windbreaker and tan pants.
