PULLMAN, Wash.-- It may be called weed, but experts said marijuana is difficult to grow.

Now that the drug is legal in Washington and Colorado, it has some pot-growing hopefuls seeking advice from the experts.  However, some are declining to share their information.

Washington State University told people not to ask for advice from them.  A university spokesperson said since marijuana is illegal under federal law, the university won’t be teaching anyone how to grow it.

Washington and Colorado instructed agriculture programs and master gardeners not to show people the best way to grow marijuana.
