COLVILLE, Wash. -- Colville Schools Superintendent Michael Cashion is getting used to spotlight, but not for the reasons he is there.
Tuesday night, CNN interviewed Cashion for a show called HLN: Raising America.
Cashion talked via Skype to host Kyra Phillips about the averted tragedy that happened in his district two weeks ago.
Court documents showed two fifth grade boys confessed to plotting to hurt their classmates. The plan was foiled when another student saw a knife fall from one of the suspect’s backpacks while getting off the school bus. The boy told teachers who quickly took action.
The Superintendant has spent 26 years in Colville Schools, and never thought he’d be dealing with a situation like this. For now, he is focused on keeping his schools and students safe.
