HAYDEN, Idaho-- Authorities in North Idaho attempted to locate the suspect wanted for an encounter with a Hayden newspaper delivery man.
Early Friday morning, Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an attempted robbery on the 8400 block of N. Rude Street.
Worker Michael Lyman, 22, encountered an adult male laying in the front yard of a home. The male suspect got up and demanded money from Lyman, inferring he had a gun.
Investigators said Lyman did not see a gun and challenged the male. The suspect ended up walking northbound on Rude Street.
As deputies searched the area for the man, they found an open garage on the 8600 block of N. Rude Street. They also found a quiver of arrows propped up on a nearby fence.
The suspect was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark grey sweatshirt. The male had a red bandana with white spots on it covering the lower portion of his face, according to authorities. Indications are that the male may have been in the area committing burglaries.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office at 208-446-1300 and reference case #13-03444.
