SPOKANE, Wash. –A group of barbershop quartets traveled across Spokane all day to spread the love.

Seven quartets with Pages of Harmony delivered messages. The quartets raised several thousand dollars by delivering signing Valentine’s Day messages from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

"It's kind of like Santa Claus at Christmas,” said Jeff Marsell “it's once a year and it's crazy but once it's over, it's over."

Marsell and other singers delivered a combined 88 singing messages.

"We try to get a tear from the ladies and embarrass the heck out of the guys," said Marsell.

The group sold out its singing for Valentine’s Day earlier this week. Leaders said orders start pouring in by December. They recommended booking no later than the beginning of February.

Pages of Harmony perform all year long and practice every Wednesday.
