BOISE -- As Boise continues to grow, city officials and county highway departments are looking for ways to ease congestion on the roads and beautify the city.

The Ada County Highway Department, in conjunction with other city officials, held an open house Wednesday night, to introduce potential transportation projects for downtown Boise and gather public input.

Organizers say they want to gather feedback about some specific issues they are focusing on, in order to present a more finalized plan this summer.

"Should we look at the streets and the conversions of two ways, one ways and two ways now?  Should we do the streetscapes first? Do we want to even consider the mini roundabouts and if so, when should that come in the progression?" said Craig Quintana with ACHD.

If you missed Wednesday's open house, you can learn more about the suggested projects at the ACHD website, as well as submit your comments.
