Police hope someone saw something that can help them find a man who attacked a woman at Seattle's Green Lake Monday morning.

The woman was not seriously hurt, but her attacker got away. Now police are trying to figure out if the incident is connect to two other recent attacks in North Seattle.

The most recently attack happened Monday around 6:30 a.m. on the outer Green Lake Trail near Green Lake Drive and Wallingford Avenue, across the street from several businesses and right in view of cars going by.

Police say the woman heard someone coming up behind her and thought it was another jogger. The man grabbed her and pulled her into the trees. The woman screamed and was able to fight the man off.

A bicyclist heard the woman screaming and chased the man away. The bicyclist also left the scene and didn’t leave a name.

The victim was shaken up but not seriously hurt. She declined medical attention at the scene.

Police said there was a 15 minute delay between the time the attack happened and when it was reported to 911. Police are looking for the attacker, but also want to talk to the bicyclist in hopes of getting a better description of the attacker.

A runner we talked to admits she worries about running into trouble at Green Lake.

"When I used to run at 6 in the morning, it was kinda scary," she said.

Runners aren't taking any chances, running in groups or walking with a friend.

"Because I heard they go for people with long hair they can grab, who are distracted by something like ear buds or their phone," a runner told us. "So I try to kinda be super aware of my surroundings."

The attacker is described as a white male in his early 20, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He had short brown hair and was wearing a dark sweatshirt with a hood and dark pants. Police have increased patrols in the area to try and find the suspect.

Police are investigating whether this latest incident is connected to two similar attacks in North Seattle since Friday.

The first attack happened Friday near Northgate Mall. A woman walking home told police a man pulled her into bushes and sexually assaulted her. The woman said her attack appeared to be in his 20s and looked like a meth addict.

On Sunday night, a woman walking in the Greenwood neighborhood called 9-1-1 after a man tried to grab her and throw her into van. She was able to get away.
