SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police say they arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly stopping women and demanding they get into his car.

Officers received calls around 7:30 Thursday morning about a man driving a black compact sedan and demanding women to get in his car near 1100 W. Dalton.

Investigators say one of the women provided a partial license plate number and a description of the suspect. Officers stopped Jose Galvan because his car matched the description, however they were not able to hold him without a positive identification.

Less than an hour later, police say a 14-year-old victim called about a similar male with a similar car near 3400 N. Crestline who asked her several times to get into his car.

The victim gave police a full plate number and Galvan was stopped by police again. This time police were able to have the victim positively identify Galvan as the suspect.

Detectives believe there may be more victims and/or witnesses that could provide more information. If you have any information on the incident, please call 509-456-2233.
