The Pierce County Sheriff's Department arrested a 32-year-old male in connection with a shooting in the South Hill area of Puyallup on Tuesday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Department said someone in a silver car got into an argument with someone in another car and fired shots. The suspect then drove seven blocks on 136th St. E. to 94th Ave. E., where they rear-ended the school bus carrying several students.
Initial reports that a gunshot hit a school bus in the South Hill area of Puyallup, were incorrect, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department said.
No shots were fired at or near the bus. No children were hurt.
The suspect was located by deputies near a Walgreens store on Pacific Ave. in the Parkland area. The vehicle was located by deputies hidden behind a building in the 13600 block of Pacific Ave. in Parkland. Deputies recovered stolen property that was found inside the vehicle.
The suspect is in custody for assault, hit and run, possession of stolen property; additional charges may be added as the investigation continues.
