BOISE -- One of the biggest tennis events in the world is coming to Boise this spring.
The Davis Cup is the world's most prestigious international team tennis events.
On Sunday, Team USA defeated Brazil to advance to the next round, which will be held in Boise.
That means the US will face Serbia in Boise, April 5-7, 2013.
Now the hope is that tennis enthusiasts in the Treasure Valley and beyond will turn out to pack Taco Bell Arena for the three-day event.
"I think the tennis community here is ecstatic, and we have a big vibrant tennis community," said Boise State University head tennis coach Greg Patton. "This is a great tennis town, I call it the Tennis Mecca. It's just unknown to a lot of people."
"My e-mails are really lit up, because all of my friends want to go, and we're all going to get there somehow, some way. We don't even care what the price is, we just want to go," said Maryann Moorhead, Boise Racquet and Swim Club.
Barring injuries, tennis fans will get to see Novak Djocovic, the top men's singles player in the world, as well as the Bryan brothers, the best doubles teams in the world.
Not only will there be some good tennis going on, but it's also expected to be a shot-in-the-arm for the city of Boise as well.
