BOISE -- A 23-year-old woman and 43-year-old man were arrested Tuesday on drug and injury to a child charges, according to Boise Police.
Officers say 23-year-old Appalonia E. Waldenmyer and 43-year-old Furley Chandler III were booked into jail after a welfare check at a Boise home turned up methamphetamine within reach of two small children.
Police say Waldenmyer gave officers permission to enter the home around 9 a.m. Tuesday after a concerned party called the police.
Officers say a subsequent search of the home turned up a small bag of methamphetamine, a loaded syringe, and drug paraphernalia within reach of two children under the age of five.
Waldenmyer was charged with felony drug possession and two counts of misdemeanor injury to a child.
Chandler was charged with felony drug possession and felony probation violations.
The children were turned over to the custody of relatives.
