SPOKANE, Wash. -- A girl driving too fast on slick winter roads skidded into oncoming traffic Thursday.

It happened near Mount Spokane High School at Mount Spokane Park Drive and Fairview Drive.

The Washington State Patrol says the 17-year-old student driver was headed eastbound on Mount Spokane Park Drive when she crossed into the westbound lanes.

An oncoming SUV struck the car on the passenger side.

No one was seriously injured. Both drivers were transported as a precaution.

The student driver was cited for going too fast for conditions.
