Washington Ceasefire marched from Westlake Park to a rally at the Seattle Center Mural Amphitheatre on Sunday afternoon.

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn and Senator Ed Murray were among the speakers planned at the rally, called StandUp Washington.

Other speakers include Mary Lindquist, president of the Washington Education Association, Ralph Fascitelli, Washington CeaseFire board president, the Interfaith Amigos – Pastor Don Mackenzie, Rabbi Ted Falcon and Imam Jamal Rahman, and Rev. Sanford “Sandy” Brown from First Church Seattle.

Musical guests will include singer Josephine Howell, the Seattle Peace Chorus and the Raging Grannies.

Organizers say there will be a call to action from the 2013 Legislative session.

"We want to send a clear message to our legislators that we want to ban semi-automatic assault weapons," said Beth Flynn, Executive Director of Washington CeaseFire.
