PORTLAND -- The controversial founder of MacAfee anti-virus software has turned up in Portland.

MacAfee told Willamette Week he could stick around for the next year and a half. John MacAfee will reportedly stay to work with a local artist on a graphic novel about his life.

He lived in Belize until last fall when investigators tried to question him about the murder of a neighbor.

MacAfee claims he was wrongfully targeted by investigators during his last few weeks in Belize.
