SPOKANE -- Spokane Police made a second arrest late Saturday in a double-shooting in North Spokane that left two men in critical condition.
Daniel J. Dublin was arrested for 2 counts of 1st Degree Assault Saturday night. Police also arrested 23-year-old Phillip C. Ruiz earlier Saturday evening on two counts of 1st Degree Assault.
Police responded to the 300 block of East Liberty around 4:00 a.m. Saturday.
Two men who were wounded were transported to the hospital, where they were listed in critical condition. They went into surgery Saturday morning and were expected to survive, police said.
Detectives said the shooting is likely gang related.
The Spokane Police Department said the house where the victims were shot is one of two crime scenes officers responded to. Detectives are gathering evidence at a second location, where the gunshot victims were reportedly spotted Friday night. Witnesses told investigators the gunshot victims were seen at a residence in DeCaro Northtown Center near Lidgerwood and Wellesley. Police are also looking into an assault case, saying a third man was pistol whipped at this location.

Police believe both the victims and the suspects could have gang affiliations.
Neighbors tell KREM 2 the home on East Liberty is a sore spot for the neighborhood. One said he hopes this is the end of the problem house on his block.
Spokane officers are looking into this case, along with the Major Crimes Unit and Spokane’s Violent Crimes Gang Enforcement Team. Police say they’re still trying to piece all of the elements together.
