WORLEY, Idaho--The man accused of kidnapping his estranged wife then leaving her at the Coeur d’Alene Casino has a history of violence.

21-year old Andrey Yermola is accused of taking his wife at gunpoint then leaving her in the casino parking lot.

Reports show Yermola used a handgun to beat his wife Margarita several times in the past and is prone to violent outbursts, even threatening to kill his wife after she asked for a divorce last year.

The 21-year-old was convicted of felony assault in Washington.

On the day of the kidnapping this week, we now know Andrey spoke with his wife at her job at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.  The two have been separated for 6 months.  Investigators say Andrey sped off with Margarita once she got in the car.

Just before getting out of the car at the casino, police say Andrey pitched a stolen gun out of the car.  Records say that gun was stolen from the Spokane Police Department.

Yermola's wife Margarita was not hurt.

Records also show the couple has a two-year-old daughter together.
