The winter months mean gray skies, rain and the occasional snow shower for Western Washington. But a week of sunshine?
A high-pressure system expected to build over the region on Saturday could herald seven days of dry weather and ... gulp ... sunshine for Seattle and the Puget Sound region.
Currently, the weather models suggest the dry pattern will last at least through Wednesday but maybe all the way to the following weekend. Expect low clouds, fog and freezing fog in the mornings before the days turn sunny in the afternoons.
The bad news: The high-pressure system will likely produce air quality problems, especially in Pierce and King counties. So watch for burn ban announcements.
