BOISE -- A quick response by firefighters likely kept a fire from spreading throughout a Boise house Sunday evening.
The fire, on the 5500 block of Bethel Street, was reported at about 7 p.m. by a passerby who told dispatchers he saw flames coming from a window, which appeared to be broken. Fire crews arrived within four minutes, dispatchers said.
Firefighters say the fire was contained to one room, although the entire building may have suffered smoke damage.
The house was being used as a storage facility for a local company, firefighters said. No one was inside at the time of the fire.
Damage estimates or financial losses were not known Sunday night.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
