PORTLAND – The body found floating in Johnson Creek over the weekend has been identified as that of a 31-year-old Portland man.

Roger Shaw's body was found floating in the creek Saturday afternoon, just west  of Southeast 92nd Avenue.

Shaw was reported missing January 3rd. He had a history of mental health issues and drug problems. The Multnomah County Medical Examiner's Office was waiting for toxicology test results before determining the cause of death..

Police found his body just before 1 p.m., and cordoned off the area for investigation by homicide and forensic detectives, Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson said.

Divers pulled the body out of the creek and turned it over to the medical examiner. The autopsy was performed Sunday.

Anyone with information about the death was asked to call (503) 823-0416.
