Four women managed to escape their car before it was struck by a train in Edmonds on Saturday night.
Edmonds Police say at about 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a car vs. train collision in the area of Dayton to Main Street along Railroad Ave.
A 24-year-old Seattle woman had left a nearby wedding reception and, being unfamiliar with the area, inadvertently turned onto the railroad tracks, where the car got stuck.
The driver and her three passengers noticed a northbound train approaching. They were able to get out of the car before the train hit it. The train pushed the car north along the tracks, ending up at the Main Street crossing location.
There were no injuries.
A BNSF investigator arrived on scene to conduct an investigation. The driver was released at the scene with charges pending.
