EMMETT, Idaho -- Authorities say six people were riding in a pickup when it crashed and rolled near the Crane Creek Reservoir in northern Gem County Friday.

They say the pickup rolled somewhere on North Crane Creek Road early Friday afternoon.

The relationship of the six people involved in the accident isn't clear. How the victims contacted rescuers also isn't known.

Washington County dispatchers say one of the victims, an infant or small child, was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center via air ambulance with serious injuries.

Authorities don't know the extent of injuries to the other passengers.

Rescue efforts were delayed for several hours due to the remote nature of the crash site.

Gem County sheriff's deputies are said to be responding to the accident, but still hadn't reached the crash site as of 7 p.m. Friday.
