There will be no passenger rail service between Seattle and Everett at least until Monday.

Passenger service has been canceled until the beginning of next week due to continuing damage from recent heavy rainfall.  A Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman says it would be unsafe to allow Sounder passenger trains in the area.

Crews are taking out trees with roots exposed to decrease the possibility of debris falling on the lines.

There has been no passenger train service between Seattle and Everett since December 17.
