PORTLAND – A man was stabbed in the face during a fight at a Southeast Portland bar early Saturday morning, police said.

Just before 2 a.m., a fight at the Magic Inn at 619 Southeast 122nd Avenue spilled out into the parking lot and a 25-year-old man was stabbed, said Sgt. Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau.

The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were initially described as life-threatening, but he is now expected to survive his injuries, Simpson said.

Officers found the victim after they were flagged down near the bar. Police closed down part of Southeast 122nd Avenue while they investigated and spoke with witnesses.

Police do not have a suspect in the case but urge anyone with information to call 503-823-0400.
