SPOKANE, Wash. -- Officials put a local school on lockdown when a student threatened a classroom of other children.
Freeman Middle School initiated the lockdown around 9:30 a.m. when a student broke a window, crawled through it and threatened others with a shard of glass, according to the school.
Officials say the students were immediately moved out of the room, and the school called 911.
Staff kept an eye on the student until police arrived, so he would not harm himself.
Medics treated the boy for his injuries.
Students returned to class by 10 a.m.
