BOISE -- Who wouldn't want a hug and a smile from a pretty princess?

The pediatric floor of St. Luke's Hospital in Boise filled with magic and make-believe as the legendary Rapunzel visited sick children on Thursday.

The long-haired lady was part of a special visit arranged by Disney on Ice.

Rapunzel visited about a dozen young patients, posed for pictures, and handed out hairbrushes and crowns in the hospital's playroom.

She told KTVB that she learned to ice skate in her tower.

Some young patients were nervous to meet the talented princess, while others cried tears of joy to see the magical character.

Four-year-old Isaiah McQueary stood in disbelief when he saw Rapunzel. That's because he recognized the princess from the latest Disney movie Tangled.

St. Luke's Hospital staff made the visit possible.

"Disney on Ice -- Dare to Dream" performances start Thursday night and run through Sunday. The public will get a chance to watch 6 performances.

Tickets start at $12. For more information click here.
