SPOKANE, Wash. -- Graffiti laced with anti-Semitic messages at a South Hill park has some neighbors upset.

Feet away from the playground, passersby can’t help but notice the four-letter words spray painted on the ground at Cannon Hill Park.

The culprits had some choice words for everything from Thanksgiving to Israel.

Merrybeth Toot walks her dog frequently at the park. She says the graffiti shocked her.

“I can’t imagine why anybody would ever do anything like that to this beautiful place,” she said.

Along with profanity, someone spray painted ideas about “indigenous resistance” and “Viva la Intifada,” which, according to the internet, translates to “long live the uprising.”

Neighbors say they hope these messages do not pop up in other parks around Spokane.
