SPOKANE--One suspect is in custody and police are searching for another, after a drive-by shooting at Swaxx’s bar Sunday morning.
Police were called to the bar at 21 E Lincoln Road around 1:45 a.m. on reports of a shooting in the parking lot. Witnesses told police that two black males in a black Chevrolet Caprice had fired handguns while yelling their gang affiliations.
While police were responding to the call, a WSP trooper attempted to stop a speeding car matching the description for the suspect vehicle. The Caprice reached speeds of up to 95 MPH as the trooper tried to catch up to it.
The car came to a stop in a yard at Nevada and Queen. When the trooper got to the car he saw the driver fleeing the scene on foot. The trooper detained the passenger.
Witnesses were able to ID the vehicle and the passenger as having been involved in the shooting at Swaxx.
The driver of the vehicle wasn’t located. He’s described as a 20-30 year old black man with a slender building, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
The passenger, 28-year-old Glenn Anderson, was booked on the charge of drive-by shooting.
