MERIDIAN -- A 33-year-old Meridian woman has been charged with misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter in connection with a crash that killed a 50-year-old Kuna man in July.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Ji Yun Park turned herself in on Thursday after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Deputies say Park was driving a minivan on July 21, when she failed to stop at a four-way stop at the intersection of Eagle Road and Amity Road, then hit and killed 50-year-old Aaron Green from Kuna.
Authorities say Park's minivan pinned Green and his 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, dragging him approximately 15 feet off the road.
Green was pronounced dead at a local hospital soon afterward.
Park was not cited at the time of the accident. Deputies say they don't believe alcohol, excessive speed, drugs, or other distractions were factors in the crash.
Deputies say two children were riding in the back of Park's minivan when she hit Green.
The 33-year-old woman bonded out of jail after she turned herself in.
Park’s first court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 6 in district court.
