SPOKANE--Washington State has become one of the first states to approve same-sex marriage by a popular vote and now Spokane wedding planners are anticipating more same-sex clients coming through their doors.

Inside the Glover Mansion, wedding planners iron out last-minute details for their client’s big day.  For decades, husbands and wives have said their “I Do’s” in this historic building.  Now same-sex couples can do the same.

Across town, The Ladies of Soiree Event Designs employees are excited another door has opened.  They've only been in business a year, but they're hoping this new law will help them expand catering to everyone who wants to tie the knot.

Same-sex couples will be allowed to apply for marriage licenses December 6th.  Washington State law requires all couples to wait three days after applying until they can have their marriage ceremony, so the first day we could see same-sex marriages is December 9th.
