LONGVIEW, Wash. -- The body of a missing worker who fell off the Lewis and Clark bridge into the Columbia River on Oct. 7 was found Saturday by a boater, police said.
Charles William "Bill" Wiley, Jr., 40, was working on the bridge when he fell off a platform. After a several-hour search by the US Coast Guard, Wiley was presumed drowned.
Wiley's body was found on the Oregon side of the river across from the Abernathy Creek area -- about seven miles from where he fell.
