SPOKANE VALLEY-- Families have grown food in their backyards for decades, but one Spokane Valley couple turned to the internet to help maintain their garden.
Marilyn and Chris Crothers have lived off their land for the past twenty years.
Now, they hunt and gather Craigslist to find free fundamentals for their farm. They’ve picked up chickens, leaves and grass clippings for composting.
They call themselves “Urban Homesteaders” because of their sustainable, self-sufficient kind of life.
