OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) -- The Clackamas County sheriff's office says a couple fought off a burglar who entered their home Tuesday night at Beavercreek.
The sheriff's office says a 63-year-old man was sitting in his home when the intruder walked through an open door. They began to fight and the homeowner called for his wife to get a gun.
When she came into the room with a gun, the burglar, a white man about 6 feet tall with a stout build, punched her and ran off.
Deputies searched the area with a dog but couldn't find the suspect who apparently drove away.
