PORTLAND --  A man accused of murder in the death of a woman found stabbed July 16 has been released from the hospital and moved to the Multnomah County jail.

Police were dispatched about 7:45 p.m. to a home near 43rd and Ainsworth and found a man in the street and a woman nearby.

Police accused 26-year-old Eric Keith Rodriguez for murder involving domestic violence and unlawful use of a weapon for the death of 23-year-old Jessie Fisher.

Fisher died of multiple stab wounds. Rodriguez was taken to the hospital with unspecified stab wounds.

Fisher died before she could be taken to a hospital, said Sgt. Pete Simpson.
