SPOKANE-- Construction has begun on a bumpy stretch of road on the South Hill.
Crews began work on 29th Avenue from High Drive to Grand Boulevard at 6:00 a.m. Thursday.
The project includes a full rehabilitation of the street, a new water main and restriping bike lanes.
Motorists will be detoured from Grand Boulevard, Bernard Street or High Drive. Bernard Street at 29th Avenue will remain open.
The project will cost $2.7 million.
