KOOTENAI COUNTY-- A former North Idaho firefighter is in the Kootenai County Jail on sex crimes charges with a family member.

Lieutenant Billy Miller is accused of the crimes involving a young teenage girl. Miller faces four felony charges for his alleged incestuous crimes.

Billy Miller's is charged with one count of crimes against nature, two counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16, and one count sexual abuse of a child under 16.

Court records show Miller performed sexual acts with a girl around 13 years old in 2009, 2010

Miller was arrested last month, on the same day we're told the victim reported the possible abuse at her school.

Records go on to show that Miller confessed to the crimes.

Miller was a fire fighter with the Northern Lakes Fire Department. We're told he was fired last week.

Miller is in the Kootenai County Jail on $150,000 bond.

The Kootenai County Prosecutor says Miller could spend the rest of his life in prison if he's found guilty.
