TALLINN, Estonia (AP) — Estonian authorities say a Polish cargo plane has made an emergency landing on a frozen lake near the capital due to landing gear and engine problems.

Economy Ministry spokesman Kalev Vapper says one of the six crew members suffered minor injuries as the Antonov AN26 turboprop aircraft en route from Finland to Estonia landed on the ice of Lake Ulemiste.

Vapper says the plane was preparing to land Thursday at Tallinn's airport when the crew noticed one part of the landing gear would not lower. One of the engines then started to malfunction on the plane's second approach, and the crew decided to make an emergency landing on the iced-over lake.

Estonian authorities say they will investigate the incident.
