MANILA, Philippines (AP) — Relatives of a freed Australian hostage say they want the Filipino kidnappers who kept him in jungle captivity for 15 months captured and punished.

Ex-Australian army soldier Warren Richard Rodwell was freed early Saturday in Pagadian city in southern Zamboanga del Sur province, emaciated and barely able to walk from his long captivity. Australian and U.S. security officials brought him to a hospital to recover in southern Zamboanga city. He is expected to be flown later Monday to the capital, Manila.

His elder sister and brother, Denise and Wayne Rodwell, said in a news conference in Manila that they want the kidnappers captured and punished "so others don't have to experience what Warren has just been through."
