At this hour, a fundraiser is under way in Seattle to help the bombing victims in Boston.

Dave Leclair organized this fundraiser at the Spitfire restaurant in the Belltown neighborhood. It started at 4 p.m. and will go until 11 p.m.

Leclair, an event planner, says this one is personal. He grew up with Krystle Campbell, one of the three people killed while watching the Boston Marathon Monday.

"She was a great girl very friendly, energetic. There was always a smile on her face,” said Leclair. “She was a hard worker and went out of her way to help others over - a wonderful person."

Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the mayor of Boston’s vicim relief fund. The hope is to raise at least $5,000.

KING 5's Zahid Arab will report more on the fundraiser coming up on KING 5 News at 6:30 p.m.
