SPOKANE, Wash. -- The man accused of a Spokane murder could face additional charges for unrelated crimes.

Gary Stoddard and his nephew were arrested on March 12th for the death of Heather Cassel. Stoddard admitted to shooting her once in the chest and then in the face according to officers.

Detectives said on Wednesday that they could have discovered other crimes during Gary Stoddard’s arrest. Major Crime’s detectives told KREM 2 News that multiple search warrants are imminent.

Court documents filed earlier in the week detail what authorities found when they arrested Stoddard. He was in possession of numerous credit cards according to investigators. Detectives said they are working to find the owners of the cards.

Stoddard’s criminal record spans several years throughout Eastern Washington. Previous allegations included rape and kidnapping.
