SPOKANE--Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies are on the lookout for two men involved in a burglary Thursday.

It happened at a home in the area of 4800 S. Dyer Street around 11:15 a.m.

The female homeowner was home at the time and saw a vehicle park on the street near her house.  The victim didn’t recognize the vehicle and thought it was suspicious.

The victim says a male suspect in his early 30’s got out of the red 1980’s Toyota Corolla and approached her door.  He was wearing a plaid hoodie sweatshirt and a baseball cap.  The driver of the vehicle is described as a white man in his forties with messy and dark hair.

The suspect rang the doorbell and the homeowner didn’t answer.  She watched as the suspect walked around her house looking in all the windows and then tried to get in through the locked backdoor.

The victim looked outside a couple minutes later and didn’t see the suspect anywhere.  When she walked outside she saw the suspect walk out from inside a shop in the backyard and run to the waiting car.

$140 in cash was taken from a vehicle inside the shop.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest in the case.
